Asphalt Laborer:
Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Use of push blower and/or wire broom to clean surface prior to application of seal coat crack fill material.

Preparation of surface utilizing an asphalt crack router to open surface cracks prior to filling.

Application of crack fill material utilizing a crack seal kettle and a wand.

Application of seal coat material utilizing a long handled squeegee and/or spray wand.

Manual labor including shoveling, use of broom and raking.

If certified, occasional equipment operation; including a skid steer or highway broom.

General laborer duties associated with asphalt paving, patching or prep crews.

Required ability to shovel, rake and handle other small tools.

Set up the equipment as needed, inspect it, clean it and perform routine maintenance or minor repairs.

Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.

Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.

Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards

If certified, responsible for loading equipment and materials on trucks at the end of the day or completion of the project.

Responsible for ensuring your hard hat, protective eye-wear, and safety vest issued to you is worn and with you at every job site.

Responsible for wearing all protective clothing.

Responsible for contacting your Foreperson if you are going to be late for work or absent the day prior.

Working Qualifications:

Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

Lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

Lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects.

Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination, good depth perception and the ability to set controls quickly, precisely and repeatedly.

Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Crew Leaders are responsible for the management of people, equipment, and materials with limited supervision by field supervisors. Crew leaders are responsible for complete grounds maintenance and property curb appeal and ensuring that all routine maintenance services such as mulching, lawn mowing, and weeding, pruning, and leaf removal.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES are, but not limited to:
Organize equipment, materials, and information
Operate mowing and landscape maintenance equipment, skid steers, snow equipment, and commercial vehicles
Servicing and manage mowing and landscape maintenance equipment
Training, leading and supervising crew members
Ensure daily responsibilities are performed before dismissing crews

JOB PURPOSE
The Custodian performs assigned custodial tasks as it relates to that particular job location. This includes general cleaning (restroom, offices, cafeteria, and sales floor, others as assigned), buffing, scrubbing, and ability to perform basic tasks of vacuum, sweeping, mopping and use of equipment such as scrubbers, extractors, and buffers.
EXPECTATIONS FOR SATISFACTORY JOB PERFORMANCE
Performs all general required tasks as directed by Lead Custodian or Crew Lead Supervisor
Uses floor machines for buffing, stripping, waxing, vacuuming and carpet cleaning safely, according to proper usage, and as agreed to schedule with store/customer
Performs all tasks within proper safety guidelines, company guidelines, and as directed by management
Follows all company policies and procedures regarding safety, customer service, proper attire, and working conditions such as hours and timekeeping
Performs assignments according to company schedule and as expected by customer
Wears uniform at required work-sites
Performs janitorial/custodial tasks based on defined scope of work and customer requests. These are performed to published schedules and within explained guidelines. These tasks often include the following:
Empty wastebaskets and replace liner as needed
Dust/clean tops of office furniture, desks, and tables
Vacuum all carpeting
Spot clean soiled areas when needed
Clean and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals
Clean counters, mirrors, and fixtures
Sweep and damp mop floor with disinfectant
Spot clean walls, partitions, and doors
Refill all restroom dispensers as needed
Wipe/clean all table tops and chairs
Wipe/clean vending machines and appliances
Clean sink and damp mop tile floors
This position may work nights, early morning, weekends, and holidays

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Prefer a high school diploma or equivalent plus 6 months the to one year of experience in custodial, janitorial, or cleaning services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
